Phitofilos Pure Turmeric Powder

The typical yellowish to slightly orange-coloured powder is derived from the plant's thick root. In Ayurvedic medicine, turmeric powder's highly beneficial effects are attributed to being rich in potassium, vitamin C and also curcumin.

Besides using the spice for cooking, turmeric is an important plant colourant, used for dyeing materials (leather, wool and silk) and as a food colouring.

The colouring effect of turmeric is also used for decorative cosmetics and hair dyes. Hair is given a very intense but very cool yellow shade. Therefore, it is recommended to mix turmeric with other plant powders such as henna, rhubarb or a more neutral senna, in order to create shades ranging from golden yellow to cool blonde.

Application:
