This unrefined, unbleached & totally unadulterated, this wildcrafted, organic & fairly traded shea butter is produced by a women's co-operatives from Ghana, West Africa using harvesting & crafting techniques that have been used for thousands of years. Free from any chemical processing, this shea butter retains all its natural goodness, creamy colouring & natural nutty aroma. It is a far cry from refined hard, white shea butter which is literally processed to death!
Fairly traded with producers in Ghana, this organic shea butter is an important resource for local communities. The producers harvest shea nuts from wild Karite trees. Over 94% of the producers are women who have extensive knowledge of the butter & its production. Regardless of their indigenous knowledge, women are excluded from mainstream employment because they do not have a formal education. Shea butter provides a valuable & sustainable source of income to these people & ensures better amenities for their communities.

not nice texture
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
this butter is like having little pieces in it. Needs rubbing again and again to melt. Not a nice smell. I will not buy it again. Good for the skin however.

Problem
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
Sorry, this butter it's very good In terms of texture on the skin, hydration and smell.
But when I opened the shipping box, I found the butter was very melted and liquid, and the rest of my requests were affected by it. I expected that it was in a sealed box, but it was not, but in a bag that was not completely sealed. Was this review helpful? (1) (0)

Great product
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
I absolutely love this butter, got the 500 g one and it seems to last forever, a little goes a long way and is heaven to my dry skin. Great as a face moisturizer for dry skin, too.
Wish the packaging was zero waste though :( Unfortunately the packaging is a mix of plastic foil and paper and therefore not recyclable :(
