I had the brown color and it was just quite unnatural too red on me. It is not really red but it is not an ashy color either. Everyone can see that I have penciled my brows in with this product. This product is also soft enough to double as an eye pencil, which is what I mostly used it for. My hair is blond and my browns arent that dark naturally. I think this can work for someone with naturally dark hair.

I got the shade Châtain clair. I have ashy blonde hair and this eyebrow pencil is way too warm-toned for me. The pencil itself is of nice quality, quite soft but not too creamy. This makes it easy to use. However, it is not possible to draw fine lines (imitating brow hairs) since it is on the creamier side. For filling purposes it works beautifully.

Pleasantly suprised how good this is, and it's excellent value! Great for filling brows, and Chatain Clair is perfect for me - it's a softer colour for the more mature woman, but still gives planty of definition and looks good with my light brown hair. It's a very similar colour to the Lili Lolo Light brow pencil that I have been using, but it's more long-lasting/smudge proof than this more expensive brand. Will definately switch to Avril from now on.
