Description

Cold-pressed Castor Oil – also known as castor oil – is a nourishing skincare classic extracted from the seeds of the castor oil plant. With its characteristic, viscous texture, the oil effectively protects against moisture loss. In natural cosmetics, it is particularly valued for the intensive care of eyelashes, eyebrows and hair. It imparts a silky sheen, promotes a healthy appearance and nourishes damaged ends and brittle nails. Rough patches of skin also benefit from the deeply penetrating, protective formula.

Properties:

  • for dry & rough areas of skin
  • For dry hair, eyelashes & eyebrows
  • moisturising, nourishing & texture-enhancing
  • ideal for beard care, calluses or as an after-sun treatment
  • 100% pure vegetable oil, cold-pressed, very viscous

Application:

  • Hair: Massage 1–2 tsp into the scalp and ends of the hair. Leave on for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight. Then shampoo twice — this is necessary due to the thick consistency.
  • Eyelashes & eyebrows: Apply one drop to an eyelash brush or cotton bud and apply to the lash line and eyebrows in the evening. Use daily.
  • Face & skin: Apply 2–3 drops to your fingertips and gently massage into cleansed skin. For very dry skin, use in the evening as a night treatment. For sensitive skin, initially mix 1:1 with a lighter oil (e.g. jojoba oil).
  • Nails: Soak your fingertips in a small bowl of castor oil for 5 minutes or massage directly into the nail bed. 2–3 times a week.
  • Beard: Warm 2–3 drops between your palms and work into the beard and the skin underneath. Ideal after showering.
  • Compatibility: Castor oil blends well with lighter oils (jojoba, sweet almond). When applying over a serum: always apply the serum first, then the oil as a final layer – the oil forms a protective film that seals in the serum rather than diluting it.
