Birch
Birch stems from the Betulaceae family and is mainly native to Eastern Europe, India and North America. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antirheumatic properties. It also has skin regenerating, strengthening and blood-purifying effects. Birch promotes blood circulation and may help against hair loss and psoriasis, as well as preventing muscle pain and tendinitis. It also has detoxifying properties and can be used in products that fight against cellulitis.
In aromatherapy, birch is grounding, calms the nerves and is restorative, and may also be used to ease fears and nerves.
