Description
This Herbal Hair Colour by khadi creates unique yet powerful dark red shades to rich mahogany. Henna combined with amla and jatropha lends the hair a darker tone that pure henna. If you have naturally dark hair, expect it to take on brown to red-brown nuances when using this hair dye. Fine hair takes on a more intensive shade. The exposure time also results in a more intense colour outcome. For more volume and shine.
Application:
- Clean your hair with a silicone-free shampoo like khadi's Amla Shampoo.
- We recommend to pre-treat with khadi Senna/Cassia, Golden Hint or Light Blonde if you have blonde, bleached or heavily damaged hair.
- Stir khadi Henna, Amla & Jatropha with 80-90 degree hot water until you have a spreadable paste. If you want an intense, colour result, add acidic supplements like apple vinegar or lemon juice.
- Distribute the natural hair colour evenly with a brush: Strand by strand - up to the ends. If you only want to colour your roots, spare lengths and ends.
- Leave on between 30 and 120 minutes. The longer the dye is kept on the hair the darker, more intense the colour result.
- To freshen up the colour, only leave on for 15 to 30 minutes.
- Then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
- Do not use shampoo for the next 24 to 48 hours. The hair dye requires time to fully unfold its full-colour intensity. Apply a khadi hair oil and leave on for 20 minutes to set the colour pigments for lasting colour brilliance.
Note:
- All hair shades and types are uniquely individual. Therefore, results may vary. We suggest testing the hair dye on a small section of hair first.
Combine with:
- khadi Light Brown, Natural Hazel or Dark Brown for warm brown nuances.
- khadi Golden Hint, Light Blonde or Medium Blonde for discreet to intensive red-blonde or copper nuances (ration: up to 30%)
The dye is free from:
- chemical additives
- preservatives

Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I would definitely recommend this product! It did an amazing job, it was a first ever experience with henna, so it faded quite quickly (3 weeks or so) but there is plenty reasons for it, and I want to describe my hair situation, as I believe it will be helpful to some. I bleached my hair 3 years ago, and I have not seen more than a centimetre of my natural hair ever since. I kept bleaching it for over a year, sometimes throwing a pink or a baby blue tone on it. When I realised the breakage and loss of hair was too massive, I decided on dying it chemically in light brown. But it was not enough for me, it resembled my natural dark blonde too much so I went for another extreme. Dark brown - almost black hair. I kept dying it chemically for a long period of time, results? Even more loss, breakage etc. My hair was dry, but still had some shine! Lately (about 2 months ago) I began bleaching it, as I made the greatest decision in my hair history. To start dying my hair naturally. I bleached my hair about 3 times (2 full bleach, 1 partial), I waited at least a week before another bleaching. Then I got my henna, and a week after the last bleaching (it is prescribed to wait 10 washes before using henna on bleached hair however, my hair was medium ginger ((probably due to red dye I used at one point, but it was not visible on my almost black dye)) so I hoped it will hold the colour). The colour was even, I made the consistency a bit too liquidy, but it worked just great. I left it to stand for a whole night, then in the morning I dyed my hair, waited 3/4 hours, I blow dried iy and my hair came out shiny, healthy looking, tiny bit thicker than before (keep in mind that usually hair thickens after couple uses!!) and was not tangling at all! I washed it only with water and waited 3 days before proper shampoo wash. The hair remained shiny and healthy until now, it is just not as vibrant anymore, but I am dying it soon (waiting for another khadi to arrive!!). I did all bleachings, dying, hair therapies myself, which I do not recommend to anyone as it is extremely risky! I know my hair very well, its strength and limits, bleaching it so many times could have completely ruined it and I was prepared for it. I would advise to do everything with a professional, but I just want to highlight that doing such my yourself is not impossible!! :) I made couple steps back by damaging it, but now I am jumping towards beautiful hair everyday!

Colour and care at the same time
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I dye my hair with henna for more than 6 years now, but the difference with Khadi products is they provide real deep care for hair. Hair is visibly shinier, smoother and thicker. I wash my hair around five or six times a week and the colour don't fade this much. I do my colour every second month and it is still fine. With henna you need few applications before having a definitive colour. If the first application is not what you are looking for, it worth trying again. Usually the colour get more intense and warm. It worked for me and I love it.

Best henna ever
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
This is the very best henna. Leaves your hair shiny and stronger. Red nuance depends on your basis. I do use it before the brown one, to cover the whites, and it works.

very good
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
Admittedly, this is the only henna brand and shade I have ever tried, but I have used it for the past two years because it works very well for me. The powder is fine and not sandy at all. The dye covers grey hair pretty well, and the color on them is not orange but a bright red that is only a little lighter than the vibrant dark red on the rest of my hair.

The Khadi hair dyes are semi permanent. The colour result depends on the natural colour, density and structure of the hair and how long you leave it on to take effect.
