The knowledge about the special nature of healing clay and its application was rediscovered at the beginning of the 20th century by the bookseller Adolf Just and made available to a wider public in the form of cosmetics such as Luvos Healing Clay.
The healing clay for Luvos products is naturally pure and consists of glacial loess, a powdery, mineral-rich sedimentary rock. It is mined in the German state of Hessen and is made up of silicate, calcite, three-layer clay minerals, feldspar and dolomite, as well as large quantities of various minerals and trace elements.
